Nature Retreat and Heartwarming Adventure at Rancho "Ozolmājas"

Open your heart and mind to a peaceful retreat in nature! The owners of Rancho "Ozolmājas" invite you to embrace ancient oaks and pet our friendly inhabitants. Visiting us is an exciting adventure for both children and adults, offering unforgettable emotions and tranquility within our 8-hectare territory. Plan your visit – the approximate duration of a tour is 1.5 hours.

Meet Our Large Family of Animals and Birds

Rancho "Ozolmājas" is home to a wide variety of exotic and domestic animals. Here you can meet:

• Exotic Inhabitants: Stately "ships of the desert" camels, African wild Watusi cattle with giant horns, Peruvian alpacas, kangaroos, maras, and unique white porcupines.
• Horses, Ponies, and Donkeys: Beautiful, long-haired Irish Tinker horses and Shetland ponies. A large family of donkeys – mini donkeys, classic grey, piebald, and shaggy French Poitou donkeys. Our special pride is the completely white albino donkey Ringo with bright blue eyes and a powerful tenor voice.
• Cows and Yaks: Small Zebo dwarf cows, Highland cows, and domestic yaks.
• Goats and Sheep: Valais Blackneck mountain goats, Girgentana goats from Sicily with corkscrew horns, and dwarf goats. A wide range of sheep: giant Swiss mountain sheep (Valais Blacknose), Hungarian Racka, German Heidschnucke moorland sheep, four-horned Jacob sheep, as well as Romanov, Suffolk, Dorper breeds, and very small French Ouessant dwarf sheep.
• Pigs: Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs.
• Bird Garden: African ostriches, Australia’s largest birds Emu, and South America’s largest birds Rhea (Nandu). Magnificent blue-green peacocks and a royal white peacock pair, decorative pigeons, colorful pheasants, black swans, as well as turkeys, geese, ducks, and chickens.

Rabbit Rancho: A special place where you can step inside to cuddle, pet, and feed the many furry inhabitants.

Activities, Entertainment, and Treats

We offer more than just a tour:

• Task "FIND and MARK": An educational game – the booklet contains all the inhabitants to be found on the rancho territory (booklet price: 0.50 €).
• Delicious Retreat: Coffee and authentic farm ice cream are available during the summer season. We regularly host DELICIOUS Pancake and Waffle SUNDAYS.
• Picnic Areas: Picnic spots with grills and a campfire are available to visitors at no extra charge.
• Special Products: Opportunity to purchase gift cards, handmade chestnut and herb body scrubs for sauna use, and ostrich eggs (during the spring season).

Offer for Groups (from 25 people)

For groups, we offer meals cooked over a campfire in your presence (by prior order):

• Thick and hearty goulash soups;
• Pancakes: Potato pancakes with sour cream-garlic-dill sauce and "Cowboy Marmalade" or sweet kefir pancakes with homemade jam;
• BIG Rancho Waffles: Sweet with homemade jam and whipped cream or savory with egg, bacon, and cucumbers;
• Hot drinks directly from the campfire.

Photo Sessions and Additional Services

• Photo Sessions: On the route, in the horse paddock, or with a camel. We offer country-style hats and neckerchiefs (for an additional fee).
• Wedding Stop: Romantic moments in our rancho environment.
• Horse Riding: Available only for groups of 10 or more.
• Gazebo Rental: Log-built semi-open gazebo for small parties – 10 EUR/h.

Useful Information for Visitors

Rancho "Ozolmājas" is accessible to people with mobility impairments. We are pet-friendly – visiting with a dog on a leash is allowed. As we are also involved in meat sheep farming, we offer only products raised on our own farm.

We are proud of our participation in LIAA "Home Cafe Days" – in 2024, we welcomed nearly 800 guests, becoming one of the most visited places in Latvia!

• Active Tourism Season: Tuesday–Sunday 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM (no appointment needed).
• Autumn/Winter Season: Tuesday–Sunday 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM (by appointment).
• For Groups: Always by appointment.
