When walking from the parking lot, it is recommended to climb the hill, which offers a wonderful view of the Imula Valley.
Buses or Matkule castle mound was inhabited in the Bronze Age more than three thousand years ago and in the late Iron Age from the 10th to the 14th century. The castle mound has been awarded with two flags of European cultural heritage. In the center of the castle mound there is a place of worship marked by three circles made of stones and a ritual fire place in the middle.
Two bridges have been built over the Imula River, one of them leads to an ancient place of worship - Baznīckalns. There is a beautiful view of the Imula River and Buse Castle Mound.
Going back in the direction of Buse castle mound, next to it, in the meadow is the Bedrīšakmens.
Continuing the procession, there will be another bridge over the river. When crossing the bridge, it is recommended to follow the road entering the meadow, keeping to the right. There will be rock steps leading up the hill. The continuation of the trail is marked to Kauķa hill, then return to the castle mound or continue the hike along an more extreme route following the signs.

The trail leads through several private properties and has been created with the kind permission of the owners, hoping for the understanding of the visitors. Please do not deviate from the route unnecessarily. Keep dogs in a leash and do not leave litter on the trails.
