Daudzi ezeri ar savu tīrību un spoguļu virsmu apbur, atsaucot atmiņā senos laikus. Viens no tādiem ezeriem ir Cieceres ezers. Cik tas ir brīnišķīgs krēslas laikā: aveņkrāsas debesis saulrieta laikā liegi kļūst par melnu kā ogle meža joslu un atspoguļojas ideāli gludajā ūdens virsmā. Izvietots Saldus augstienē, kuras augstums ir 99,7 m virs jūras līmeņa, kristāltīrais ezers ir ietverts neskarto mežu rāmī. Spoguļvirsma, kura dzīlēs 22 m dziļumā ir vistīrākais ūdens… Tā garums ir 9,5 km, bet visplatākā vieta 0,7 km. Vai nav tiesa, ka tas ir neaptverams plašums ūdens sporta mīļotājiem? Viena no šī unikālā ezera svarīgākajām ievērojamākajām vietām ir tā vidū izvietotā Ozolu sala, kas ir aizsargājamā zona, jo tās teritorijā 14 ha aug divpadsmit lielisku ozolu. Katra milža apkārtmērs ir vairāk par 4 metriem. Vislielākais no tiem – viss 6,2 m!No XIII gadsimta Cieceres ezers bija apbrīnojami zivju bagāts. Ciecere – viens no nedaudzajiem brīvajiem ezeriem, kurā varēja ķert zivis ikviens zemnieks. Mūsdienās daudzi makšķernieki sabrauc pie Cieceres, lai izzvejotu savu sapņu zivi.
