Pelēču purvs atrodas dabas lieguma Natura 2000 teritorijā. Pelēču ezera purvs ir nozīmīga pārejas purvu un slīkšņu aizsardzības vieta, kas veidojas, aizaugot Pelēču ezeram. Tajā ir retas vaskulāro augu un sūnu sugas.
Šī gada sākumā ir tapusi dabas izziņu un pastaigu taka, kuras garums ir 102 metri. Ir izveidots plašs skatu tornis, kur paveras skats uz Pelēču ezeru un purvu. Pie takas ir izveidota laivu piestātne.
