Description
Babītes sv. Annas draudze dibināta 13. gs. Pašreizējais dievnams celts pēc ievērojamā arhitekta J.D. Felsko projekta 1854. gadā. Baznīca smagi cieta Pirmajā pasaules karā – dievnams tika izpostīts, bet atlikušajā daļā tika ierīkota munīcijas noliktava. Vācu okupācijas laikā ēkā ierīkoja zirgu mājvietu. 1923. gadā baznīca tika atjaunota pēc A. Raistera projekta. Arī Otrā pasaules kara laikā baznīca smagi cieta. Padomju laikā baznīcu apzaga un demolēja. Ilgu laiku baznīcu izmantoja par kapliču. Patlaban baznīcā regulāri dievkalpojumi nenotiek. Par apskates iespējām jautāt “Annas Koku skolā”, kura atrodas netālu no baznīcas.
