Kandava is the place where the wild pear-tree (Pyrus pyraster), which is a rarely found tree in Latvia, is growing and it has reached circumference of 2,95 m. Normally, it grows in deciduous woods, bushes, roadsides, and on the banks of rivers and lakes.
