VĒSTURE:
Stirnienes draudzes aizsākumi rodami jau 17. gadsimtā. Pirmā baznīca bija koka ēka (1757), kura nodega. Tad tika būvēta cita celtne. 1913. gadā veco koka dievnamu pārveda uz Rudzātiem. Prāvesta Pāvila Virketis vadībā no 1902. līdz 1907. gadam uzcelta mūra baznīca, 1914. gadā to iesvētīja Mogiļevas arhibīskaps V. Kļučinskis svētā Laurencija godam. Stirnienes baznīca ir 25.5 m gara un 15.3 m plata akmeņu ķieģeļu celtne ar skārda jumtu, ar diviem 36 m augstiem torņiem.
Centrālajā altārī- Ostrobromas Dievmātes svētgleznas kopija, dievnamā ir skaisti Krustaceļa gleznojumi, kulta priekšmeti. Otrā pasaules kara laikā dievnams ļoti cieta. Baznīcai bija pussagrauts viens tornis un jumts, sabombardētas ērģeles. Ar draudzes prāvestu aktīvu darbu un lielu ticīgo atbalstu, pēckara periodā dievnamu atjaunoja.
1985. gadā baznīcas iekšpusi izbalsināja ar kaļķiem, paneli nokrāsoja ar eļļas krāsu, pārkrāsoja un apzeltīja altārus. 2006. gadā saņemts fantastisks dāvinājums no Gottinges draudzes Vācijā-ērģeles. 2007. gada vasarā tās uzstādīja Alvja Melbārža ērģeļdarbnīcas meistari. Pēc 65 gadu pārtraukuma, Stirnienes dievnamā atkal skan ērģeles Dieva godam un ļaužu priekam. Draudzē aktīvi darbojas dažāda gadagājuma ļaudis, ir krāšņas procesijas, saglabāti un atjaunoti senie baznīcas karogi.
