Saukta arī: Liepas Ellīte, Velna ceplis. Cēsu rajona Liepas ciema centrā pie pagasta padomes. Savdabīgas Lielās Ellītes klintis gaišajā smilšakmenī, ar vismaz 3 arkām, kas saglabājušās no kādreiz krietni lielākām alām. Izplūst prāvs avots. Ala arī sena kulta vieta. Lielās Ellītes l = 22,3 m, h = 4 m, pl = 5,5 m. Tiek uzskatīts par vienu no vecākajiem tūrisma objektiem Latvijā. Ala pirmoreiz rakstos minēta 1791.g.
► 20.gs. 20-tajos gados no alas ar vezumiem veduši smiltis saimnieciskajām vajadzībām, iznīcinot alas agrāko izskatu. 1864.g. 13.janvāra „Mājas Viesī” savukārt publicētas ziņas, ka alu apmeklējuši cilvēki arī no Igaunijas, un atraduši tajā uzrakstus pat no 1500.gada. Pieminēts, ka ūdens alas dibenā ir ļoti labs (tagad laikam neviens vairs tā neteiks..)

Beidzot atnācis kāds mācītājs, kuram pašam nav bijis neviena grēka – tad gan velns meties bēgt pāri Gaujai uz Sietiņiezi. Gauja aizšķērsojusi velnam ceļu, tādēļ viņš lasījis cepurē akmeņus kā rāceņus un bēris upes dzelmē. Izcēlies bargs negaiss, un Pērkons spēris velnam, kas tomēr „pa Gaujas dibinu aizvilcies uz Sietīnu”.
► Diemžēl pagastam nepārtraukti jācīnās ar alas un tās apkārtnes piedrazotājiem (manuprāt, vainīgie tomēr nav tūristi).
