Description
Jaunpils luterāņu baznīcas celtniecība sākusies 1592.gadā, par ko liecina metāla plāksnē iekaltais skaitlis, un tā ir viena no pirmajām Kurzemes hercogistē celtajām baznīcām. Tornis celts 1750.gadā. Banzīca pārbūvēta un paplašināta 1849. un 1854.gadā.
Ievērojams ir baznīcas altāris un kancele, kas tiek uzskatīti par ievērojamiem manierisma stila paraugiem. Baznīcas zvans izgatavots 1760. gadā, un to lējis vācu meistars E. Fr. Fehters tepat - Kurzemes hercogistē.
No baznīcas torņa augstumiem paveras skats uz Jaunpils kultūrvēsturisko centru un skaisto apkārtni.
