Liepājas Svētā Jāzepa katedrāle ir lielākais katoļu dievnams Kurzemē ar bagātīgu un greznu interjeru.
Katedrāles vēsture sākās 1747. gadā, kad šajā vietā uzcēla nelielu mūra baznīcu. Ar laiku vecā baznīca kļuva par šauru, tāpēc pēc arhitekta Luisa Melvila projekta 1896. gadā tika uzbūvēts daudz plašāks dievnams neoromānikas stilā. Ēka celta no tā sauktajiem Dancigas ķieģeļiem, kuri katrs atsevišķā iesaiņojumā atvesti no Vācijas.
Vecais dievnams netika nojaukts, bet gan iekļauts jaunās baznīcas veidolā. To var apskatīt, ieejot baznīcā un paveroties pa kreisi uz Dievmātes kapelu – tur redzams vecās baznīcas centrālais altāris un mūra baznīcas apveids.
Visapkārt – uz kolonnām, sienām un koka griestiem – ir redzami Bībeles sižeta gleznojumi, kas saglabājušies no 19. gadsimta. Turpat augstu pie griestiem "peldošo" kuģa modeli dāvinājuši jūrnieki, kas šeit izlūgušies Dieva labvēlību veiksmīgiem jūrasbraucieniem. Savukārt baznīcas tornī ir ierīkota neliela izstāžu zāle, kurā tiek izstādīti dažādu mākslinieku darbi.
