Description
Lielo Ģildi dibināja 1354. gadā Rīgas tirgotāji, kuri monopolizēja tirdzniecību līdz pat 19. gs. Tās patronese ir Sv. Marija. Vecās ēkas (14.gs.) interjera fragmenti – romānikas kolonna saglabājusies ģildes ēkā, kas celta no 1854-1857. gadam pēc arhitekta K. Beines projekta. Ēkas rekonstrukcija notika 1965. gadā pēc arhitekta M. Ģeļža projekta. Foajē izvietotas A. Cīruļa 1937. gadā darinātās vitrāžas. Šobrīd ēkā atrodas Filharmonijas zāle.
