Atrodas Mežciemā pie Garnizona kapiem. Dievnams celts stilā, kāds bija raksturīgs Krievijas ziemeļdaļai. Dievnama celtniecību finansēja Pēterburgas tirgotājs M. Čukasovs. Projekts un būvuzraudzība bija kara inženiera Raševska ziņā, dievnamu cēla Daugavpils cietokšņa amatnieki.
Baznīca iesvētīta 1897. gadā. Baznīca ir vienstāva koka guļbūve, kas nav apšūta ar dēļiem. Četrslīpju jumts segts ar rombveida skārda plāksnēm. Baznīcai 9 tornīši, kuru karkasi apšūti ar dēļiem, un tiem ir piecas atšķirīgas formas. Virs sānu ieejām uz jumtiņiem atrodas smaili torņi ar četrslīpju jumtu. Altārdaļas jumtu grezno tornis, kura sešstūrainais apjoms balsta sīpolveida kupolu ar krustu.
