Description
1850. gadā Dinaburgas iedzīvotāji griezās pie Polockas un Vitebskas bīskapa Vasīlija ar lūgumu atļaut pilsētā uzcelt pareizticīgo baznīcu. Atļauja tika saņemta un jaunais dievnams tika iesvētīts 1877. gadā. 1964. gadā padomju vara to slēdza. Līdz 1991. gadam dievnama telpās atradās bibliotēka. Baznīca dievnamu atguva ļoti bēdīgā stāvoklī. Bija nepieciešams nomainīt jumtu, uzstādīt kupolus, veikt remontu, nomainot logu rāmjus. 2007. gadā atjaunotajā dievnamā notika pirmais dievkalpojums.
