Baznīca vairākkārtīgi nojaukta un atjaunota. Tagadējā baznīca būvēta 1947.gadā prāvesta Ludviga Krumpāna vadībā.
Dukstigalā līdz 1960.gadam bija divas draudzes: Baltais Dukstigals (Šadurska) un Melnais Dukstigals (Slobodska). Baltajā Dukstagalā baznīca bija celta 1775. gadā. Šo baznīciņu padomju varas laikā 1960.gadā varmācīgi nojauca, neskatoties uz to, ka šī celtne bija arhitektūras piemineklis - vecākā koka baznīca Latgalē (367 gadus veca). Motivējums šādai rīcībai bija, ka vienā draudzē nedrīkst būt divas baznīcas, tagad Dukstigala draudzē ir tikai viena baznīca.
Melnā Dukstigala pirmā koka baznīca uzcelta 1776. gadā un nosaukta Vissvētās Trīsvienības godam. Pirmā Pasaules kara laikā baznīca nodega. Šo baznīcu 1827.gadā pilnīgi atjaunoja. Pēc pirmā Pasaules kara 1922.gadā prāvests Gabris uzsāka būvēt jaunu koka baznīcu vecās vietā, taču otrā Pasaules kara laikā šī baznīca nodega.
Tagadējā baznīca būvēta 1947. gadā prāvesta Ludviga Krumpāna vadībā. Vispirms viņš par draudzes saziedoto naudu nopirka nelielu māju, to nojauca, visus materiālus pārveda uz Melno Dukstigalu, kur uz nodegušās baznīcas pamatiem uzcēla jaunu celtni.
1964. gadā Baltā Dukstigala draudzi pārvietoja uz Melnā Dukstigala draudzi. Melnā Dukstigala (tagad vienkārši Dukstigala) baznīca ir Rēzeknes dekanāts

We manufacture, deliver and mount log buildings from turned beams, as well as various other wood structures. We perform construction according to individual requirements and wishes of every client. In the construction of log buildings, we use natural materials, for instance, moss as sealing between beams, and we construct the buildings according to the ancient traditions of log building constructions. Our price offer includes complete structure mounting, except for laying foundation and installation of electric power and water supply, which we can carry out upon a prior agreement with the client on the additional volume of work and the extra costs. We carry out mounting of log buildings in the entire territory of Latvia, and costs of transportation within the distance of 120 km from the production unit in Valmiera have been included in the price. Upon the client’s request, we can also offer production of logs without delivery and mounting with documents enclosed for individual mounting.
