Evaņģēliski luteriskā Baldones baznīca rakstos minēta no 1567. gada. Tagadējā, ceturtā baznīcas ēka šajā vietā ir uzbūvēta 1824. gadā. Baznīcas ēka savā ceļā ir piedzīvojusi daudzas pieturas – tā bijusi dievnams, tad visu aizmirsta un izdemolēta ēka, vēlāk arī plastmasas ražotnes cehs. Tās ārējais veidols laika gaitā maz mainījies, bet iekštelpas zaudējušas savu sākotnējo izskatu – gleznotus pilastrus starp logiem un altāri ar 4 kolonnām un altārgleznu. Pēdējos 30 gados baznīca atkal ir ne tikai vieta tiem, kas meklē Dievu, bet arī koncertzāle un pasākumu vieta
Baznīcas gaišo un askētisko telpu rotā Norvēģijas pērļu granīta altāra galds un kristāmtrauks, kā arī kalti svečturi. Baznīcai ir uzstādīts āra apgaismojums, nomainīts jumts, izremontēta baznīcas lielā zāle un ievilkta apkure.
Baznīcas draudze ir izveidojusi ziedojumu vākšanas akciju "Pietura Baznīca", kuras laikā tiek organizēti koncerti un pasākumi, ar mērķi atjaunot baznīcu.
Draudzes dievkalpojumi notiek katru svētdienu plkst.11.00 baznīcas lielajā zālē.
Iespējamas individuālas tikšanās sarunām par kristībām, iesvētībām, laulību, citiem jautājumiem.
