Mazsalacas Sv. Annas baznīca īpaši izceļas ar tās smailo torni (58,6 m), kas redzams jau no tālienes. 1890. gadā baznīcai piebūvēta krustveida, gotiska stila daļa, kas pabeigta vienā vasarā. Baznīcas vecākā daļa ar pusotra metra bieziem mūriem tapusi 14. gs. Te vari aplūkot no 18. gs. saglabājušos baroka altāri ar nezināma autora gleznu Svētais vakarēdiens. Vecās baznīcas biezie mūri ir saglabāti kā jaunās baznīcas altārtelpa, un romāņu stilā celtās laukakmeņu baznīcas daļa labi sakļaujas ar jaunuzcelto.
Baznīcas iekšpusē redzēsi no ozolkoka darinātu altāri, kas būvēts pēc Rīgas Doma baznīcas altāra parauga.
