Description
LELB Salas sv.Jāņa draudze dibināta 1658. gadā. Pašreizējais dievnams celts pēc ievērojamā arhitekta J.D. Felsko projekta 1870. gadā. Baznīcas plānojums ir līdzīgs citām J.D. Felsko projektētajām baznīcām. Baznīcā ir apskatāma mākslinieka J.J. Dēringa 1872. gadā darinātā altārglezna “Kristus pie krusta”. 1979. gadā glezna tika nozagta, taču vēlāk darbu atrada un restaurēja. Sv. Jāņa baznīcai pieder viens no vecākajiem un skaistākajiem Svētā Vakarēdiena kausiem. Dievkalpojumi baznīcā notiek katru svētdienu plkst. 13:00.
