Ārijas un Induļa ozols – ar romantisku teiku apvīta vieta, par to, kā iemīlas kuršu vadonis Indulis un vācu komtura meita Ārija. Teika vēsta, ka tieši šajā vietā Indulis saticis Āriju. Pamatojoties uz šo teiku, dzejnieks Rainis (1865 – 1929. g.) uzrakstījis traģēdiju „Indulis un Ārija”, kuru mēdz dēvēt arī par latviešu „Romeo un Džuljetu”.
