Description
Šodien redzamā baznīca celta 1766. gadā, bet baznīcas vieta šeit atradusies jau kopš kristietības sākumiem. Kādreiz zvanu tornis bija atsevišķa celtne blakus baznīcai, teritorija ap dievnamu bija iežogota un tajā atradās kapi. Baznīcas altāra daļā atrodas kripta, kurā apglabāti ne tikai mācītāji, bet arī Mālpils un apkārtnes muižu īpašnieki.Baznīcas ērģeles ir nozīmīgs Latvijas ērģeļu būvētāja Kaspara Skerstena darinātais pēdējais un lielākais instruments. 2004. gadā divos baznīcas logos tika ievietotas mūsdienīgas vitrāžas, kas harmoniski iekļaujas tautiskā romantisma stilā veidotajā interjerā.
