Description
Tas ir brīvības, neatkarības un piemiņas simbols 1919.gada 14.oktobrim, kad Viesītītes aizstāvji cīnījās pret bermontiešiem un guva uzvaru. Tas uzcelts par iedzīvotāju ziedojumiem, atklāts 1935. gada 11.augustā. Padomju laikā šeit izveidoja Brāļu kapus, pieminekli noslēpa apstādījumu aizsegā. 1989.gada Lāčplēša dienā to atklāja otrreiz. Piemiņas vieta ir unikāla ar to, ka abi pieminekļi ir saglabāti.
