Description
urbes baznīca ir iekļauta Latvijas valsts aizsargājamo pieminekļu sarakstā ar Nr. 6407.. Dievnams veido visas pilsētas un apkārtnes kultūrvēsturiskās ainavas brīnišķīgāko akcentu ap kuru kārtojas pilsētas vēsturiskā un jaunākā apbūve. Baznīca celta 1651. gadā, pārbūvēta un paplašināta 18. gs. beigās. Ap baznīcu saglabājies laukakmeņu mūra žogs(1872.g.) Ēka nav būtiski pārbūvēta, interjerā daudz oriģinālu detaļu, augsts autentiskuma līmenis.
