Jaunmoku pils atrodas gleznainajos Kurzemes pakalnos, Rīgas - Ventspils autoceļa malā, 75 km no Rīgas. Pils celta 1901.gadā Rīgas pilsētas galvai Džordžam Armitstedam (1847-1912), pēc arhitekta Vilhelma Bokslafa projekta kā medību pils - neogotiskā stilā ar jūgendstila elementiem. Tai ir īpaša vieta starp Latvijas arhitektūras šedevriem. Mainoties vairākiem īpašniekiem, muižas ansamblis tagadējā izskatā veidojies īsā laikā, taču saglabājot arhitekta V. Bokslafa koncepciju - radīt šo saimniecības un atpūtas kompleksu kā Hanzas pilsētu gotikas iespaidu sintēzi.
