Description
Baznīca celta 1856.- 1859. g. un vēlāk ap to izveidojās tāda paša nosaukuma ciems.
Pirmā ir bijusi koka baznīca, kuru 1781. gadā cēlis Francis Sokolovskis. Tā atradās Soltānu muižā. 1858.gadā šo baznīcu nojauca, un tās vietā gadu vēlāk uzcēla ķieģeļu mūra baznīcu ar 2 torņiem. Bīskaps A.Simons 1897.gadā jaunuzbūvēto baznīcu konsekrēja apustuļu Sīmaņa un Jūdas godam. Prāvesta Pētera Andžāna laikā (1975.-1986.g.), 1974. gadā vienā no baznīcas sakristejām iekārtota kapela, uzbūvēts altāris, altārī iebūvēta svētbilde un veikti lieli labiekārtošanas un rekonstrukcijas darbi.
Sākumā Prezma ir bijusi Feimaņu draudzes filiāle, tikai vēlāk tā kļuvusi par patstāvīgu draudzi. (Svilāns, 1995)
