Pašreizējā Īvandes baznīca celta 1815. gadā Īvandes muižas tuvumā, ezera krastā, bet iesvētīta 1816. gada 12. novembrī. Līdz Pirmajam pasaules karam baznīcā darbojās gan vācu, gan latviešu draudzes. 1936. gadā baznīcai uzlikts cinkota skārda jumts, ēka sakārtota, salaboti altāris, kancele, soli. Kancele un altāris veidoti klasicisma stilā. Draudzes priekšnieks atradis kanceles pamatā iegrieztu gadskaitli 1858. un uzvārdu Miķelsons. Iespējams, tas ir meistara, kas iekārtojis interjeru, uzvārds.
Īvandes draudze spītīgi pastāvējusi nepārtraukti arī padomju gados, kas ir atsevišķu īvandnieku nopelns. Šobrīd baznīcā dievkalpojumi notiek 2 reizes mēnesī. Baznīcā ir laba akustika, tāpēc šeit ļoti skaisti izskan vokālie dziedājumi.
