Description
Ap 1885. gadu daudzi Kolkas iedzīvotāji pārgāja pareizticībā un Kolkā nodibināja pareizticīgo draudzi.
Kolka ir vienīgais jūrmalas ciems, kur 1890. gadā (citos datos 1891–1892) uzcelta pareizticīgo baznīca un nosaukta par Kristus Piedzimšanas pareizticīgo baznīcu (Rīgas Eparhijas arhitekts Apollons Ēdelsons, būvuzņēmējs Voosts). 1982.gadā draudzei nācās atteikties no sava dievnama. Baznīca tika izdemolēta.
Laukakmens mūra ēka ar sarkano ķieģeļu apdari, četrstūru plānojumu, izbūvētu altārdaļu, torni ar skārda jumtu un diviem sīpolveida kupoliem atjaunota 1989–1999. Zvans uzlikts 1936.
