Doma - Latvijas evaņģēliski luteriskās Baznīcas arhibīskapa katedrāles pamatakmens likts 1211.gadā. “Doms” tulkojumā no latīņu valodas nozīmē – Dieva mājoklis, viduslaikos tas bija galvenais kristīgās ticības izplatīšanas centrs Latvijā. Baznīca savā veidolā ietver vēlās romānikas, agrās gotikas un baroka stilus, un kopā ar klosteri veido vienotu ansambli. Nozīmīgā viduslaiku baznīcas celtne ir iespaidojusi celtniecības tradīcijas senās Livonijas zemēs Latvijā un Igaunijā. Lielākā sakrālā celtne Latvijā, kas iekštelpās glabā daudzas mākslas vērtības. Baznīcas iekštelpās īpaši nozīmīgi ir 13.gs. akmens kalumi. Te atrodas daudz akmenī un kokā veidotu 14. – 18. gs. memoriālās tēlniecības pieminekļu: kapa plāksnes un pieminekļi, epitāfijas. Krāsainu akcentu ienes arī 18.gs. gleznojumi balkonu margās un zem ērģeļu luktām. Logu vitrāžās (1833 – 1885) atveidoti ar baznīcas un Rīgas vēsturi saistīti notikumi.
