Description
Baznīca būvēta 1906. gadā pēc arhitekta K. E. Strandmaņa projekta. Celtne veidota pseidogotiskā stilā, bagātīgi rotāta ar dekoratīviem elementiem. Virs ieejas atrodas vietējas nozīmes mākslas darbs – bareljefs „Svētais vakarēdiens". Baznīca II Pasaules kara laikā izdega, tās atjaunošana tika pabeigta tikai 1992. gadā, kad agrākā izskatā tika atjaunots baznīcas tornis. 1996. gadā pāvests Jānis Pāvils II baznīcai piešķīra katedrāles statusu.
