IIūkstes katoļu baznīca celta 1816. gadā par Katrīnas Zībergas līdzekļiem un tā tika nodota uniātiem. 1861. gadā baznīca pāriet pareizticīgo rīcībā, bet no 1920. gada atkal kalpo katoļu draudzei. Baznīca ir mūra celtne, ar vienu vidēji augstu torni, vienjomas telpa. Ārpuse apmesta un balti krāsota. Jumts cinka skārda. Ieejas durvis no gala,labajiem sāniem un sakristejas. Baznīcas grīda un griesti no koka. Ir kora telpas, kas balstās uz 2 pīlāriem. Tajās ir ērģeles. Ir trīs mūra altāri ar koka virsbūvi, kas veidoti pēc Subates baznīcas altāru parauga. Baznīcu no presbiterija šķir dievgalds. Presbiterija abās pusēs ir sakristejas. Griesti koka. Apkārt baznīcai ir liels dārzs, ko iežogo mūra sēta. Dārza stūrī, labajā pusē, ir mācītāja dzīvojamā māja un saimniecības ēkas. Baznīcu izremontēja un izkrāsoja 1973. gadā dekāna; J. Lapkovska vadībā un dekāna Jāņa Krapāna vadībā baznīca tika izremontēta atkārtoti, atjaunoti altāri no koka,grīda,apkārt baznīcai bruģēti celiņi ( no 2005 – 2009.g) Baznīcas izmēri: 26 m x 15,7 m = 308 m2.
